Livingstone has expanded its Automotive Aftermarket practice with the addition of Paul Louie, who has joined as a Managing Director based in Los Angeles.
Mr. Louie brings more than 25 years of experience and an extensive transaction track record in the Automotive Aftermarket sector, where he has become a deeply trusted advisor. His expertise spans key aftermarket sub-sectors, including the manufacturing, distribution, and retailing of accessories, performance products, parts, connected-car solutions, heavy-duty components, electronics and other enthusiast-driven products.
Mr. Louie also has deep experience advising multi-unit operators across collision repair, quick lube, car wash, and tire and repair centers, as well as dealerships serving both the traditional and specialty vehicle categories – ranging from utility and all-terrain vehicles to medium- and heavy-duty trucks
“The automotive aftermarket and service sector represents a vast and evolving landscape, with robust private equity and strategic buyer interest driven by strong industry fundamentals, accelerating growth prospects, and high fragmentation,” said Ryan Buckley, Partner at Livingstone. “Paul strengthens our global platform and builds on the successful auto aftermarket transactions Livingstone has completed. He will play a key role in helping us lead clients through the next wave of industry growth.”
Mr. Louie joined Livingstone from Capstone Partners, where he served as Managing Director for six years, and previously from Cascadia Capital, where he founded the firm’s Automotive Aftermarket group and headed the Los Angeles office. Earlier in his career, Paul spent many years living and working in the Greater China region as a corporate development officer, investment banker and venture capital investor. Paul received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in International Business from San Diego State University. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and is conversational in Cantonese.
“Joining Livingstone is a tremendous opportunity to deepen my focus on the auto aftermarket and service sector at a time when the market is expanding and investor interest remains strong. Livingstone’s reputation, sector insight, and collaborative culture align perfectly with how I approach client service. I’m eager to get started and to help drive successful outcomes for our clients worldwide,” said Paul Louie, Managing Director at Livingstone.
