Tom is a Partner and head of Livingstone’s Debt Advisory practice in the U.S., having built the Debt Advisory team since joining the firm in 2011. He raises debt capital and arranges financing for transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and refinancings. Tom often works collaboratively with Livingstone’s Special Situations practice and M&A bankers across the firm’s dedicated industry groups.
With over two decades of lending and debt advisory experience, Tom has emerged as a trusted advisor to private equity firms and business owners alike. Throughout his career, Tom has worked with companies across many industries to secure the optimal credit structure thereby enabling clients to focus on growth initiatives and value creation opportunities.
Tom frequently speaks at Association for Corporate Growth and Turnaround Management Association events addressing the ever-evolving credit landscape in the middle market. He also produces Tom’s Two Cents, one of Livingstone’s most popular thought leadership series.
Prior to Livingstone, Tom worked in commercial banking at BMO Harris Bank and Bank of America / LaSalle Bank. Tom began his career in commercial finance with GE Capital, while his first job out of college was with Digital Wok, a Chicago-based startup.
Tom, along with his wife, Anne, grew up in Evanston, IL, where they now reside with their three teenage daughters.
