Livingstone advised Mellby Gård on the sale of Hedson Technologies
Livingstone advised Mellby Gård on the sale of Hedson Technologies International AB (“Hedson Technologies”) to Storskogen. Based on the company’s market-leading position in premium curing, lifting, and cleaning systems, Livingstone positioned the investment opportunity and executed a structured sales process.
Hedson Technologies is headquartered in Arlöv, Sweden, and operates a brand portfolio with four brands: IRT, Drester, Herkules, and Trisk. Founded in 1999, the company has been a global market leader in high-quality curing, lifting, and cleaning systems for the automotive aftermarket and other manufacturing industries. Hedson Technologies reported sales of SEK 256 million (26MM USD) and EBITA of SEK 35 million (3.7MM USD) in 2021.
Storskogen will acquire all shares in Hedson Technologies and the company will become part of Storskogen’s Industrial division after the transaction. The current management will continue to be committed to the company in the future.
“With the support of Mellby Gård and the board, we have implemented a product-driven strategy to achieve profitable organic growth. We are now delighted to partner with Storskogen and have their support to continue our growth, ” stated Lennart Eriksson, CEO of Hedson Technologies.
“Hedson Technologies is a market leader with innovative products focused on high quality, sustainability, and efficiency – all interesting areas to invest in. We are grateful to have gained the confidence to support the sellers in this transaction and see great potential in the further development of the business within the established strategic plan with Storskogen as the new owner,” says Daniel Ohlsson, Managing Partner at Livingstone.
Storskogen acquires and develops well-managed and profitable small and medium-sized companies in the industrial, commercial, and service sectors in the Nordic countries, the DACH region, and the UK. As of December 31, 2021, Storskogen comprised 105 business units with a total of 9,000 employees and annual sales of more than SEK 23 billion (2.4BN USD).
This industrial transaction follows the sale of ProvideU to Novedo and the sale of Beneli to Volati.
Livingstone acted as exclusive financial advisor and Mannheimer Swartling as legal advisor to Mellby Gård during the sales process.
