Acquisition
Livingstone has advised Jiangsu Asia-Pacific Light Alloy Technology Co. Ltd. (“APALT”) exclusively on the acquisition of the ALUnited Group. The seller is the investment company Fidelium Partners.
ALUnited, with locations in Tønder, Denmark, and Louviers, France, specializes in the development and production of high-quality aluminum molded parts for the automotive industry. Its product portfolio includes battery carrier systems for electric vehicles, engine carriers, crash management systems, and brake pe-dals. The French site also has its own extrusion capacities for the production of upstream aluminum com-ponents. The two plants were previously operated under the Benteler Group umbrella and were acquired by Fidelium Partners as part of a carve-out and developed into the independent ALUNITED Group.
The acquisition strengthens APALT’s presence in the European market and establishes downstream pro-duction in close proximity to leading premium OEMs. The integration of the ALUnited Group’s activities enables APALT to strategically expand its own value chain and broaden its product offering in a dynamically growing segment.
“We are delighted to have supported APALT in this strategically important acquisition. The transaction demonstrates how international industrial groups can further develop their businesses in Europe through targeted acquisitions along the value chain. We would particularly like to thank the APALT team for the trust they have placed in us and for their cooperation throughout the process,” said Baoshan Bao, Partner at Livingstone Partners Düsseldorf.
