Livingstone is pleased to announce that its client, Kincannon & Reed (“K&R” or the “Company”), has completed a management led recapitalization to provide liquidity for its legacy shareholders and provide K&R with resources to accelerate growth and broaden its service offerings. This transaction strengthens K&Rs position in the Food and Agribusiness sector while remaining firmly committed to operating as an independent firm. Financial terms and investor details were not disclosed.
K&R is a premier global executive search and leadership advisory firm dedicated exclusively to the food and agriculture sectors. The Company has built an unparalleled network of relationships across the agri-food value chain — from input providers and agtech innovators to processors, ingredients companies, and multinational food platforms. K&R is differentiated by a unique combination of consultants who are former food and agriculture executives and a disciplined search operations team with proven expertise in executive assessment and selection.
The recapitalization positions K&R to add consultants across key food and agriculture segments, broaden the reach of its K&R EDGE Leadership Solutions advisory platform, and advance its data-driven assessment and search capabilities. The Company will continue to be led by its existing leadership team, including President Stephanie Liska and Senior Vice President of Operations Kelly Griffin.
“Kincannon & Reed represents a highly differentiated platform with compelling fundamentals, deep sector credibility, and loyal client relationships,” said Joe Crotty, Managing Director at Livingstone. “We are proud to have advised the Company through a process that positioned K&R for its next phase of growth with an investor that is committed to the food and agriculture value chain.”
“Livingstone provided thoughtful guidance and first-class execution throughout the process,” said Stephanie Liska, President of Kincannon & Reed. “Their team delivered an outcome that strengthens our ability to recruit and develop the leaders who feed the world and keep it healthy. We are energized by this new chapter and the opportunity to enhance our capabilities while staying true to the expertise, relationships, and client focus that define our firm.”
“K&R represents another successful outcome in Livingstone’s growing track record of advising specialized professional services firms through transformative capital events,” said Josh Kroll, Director at Livingstone. “The collaboration between Livingstone’s Agribusiness and Business & Technology Services sector teams demonstrates the strength of our platform and our commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
