Livingstone advises SKAB-Gruppen in its merger with Pamica Group
Livingstone has acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the founders and owners of SKAB-Gruppen in its merger with Pamica Group, who, together with SKAB-Gruppen’s CEO Tomas Korenado, acquired all shares. Tomas Korenado will continue as CEO and board member, as well as a significant shareholder. The transaction strengthens Pamica’s industry segment with a clear ambition to continue developing SKAB-Gruppen as a leader in carrier body manufacturing for the logistics sector in the Nordics.
SKAB-Gruppen is a leading manufacturer of custom-made carrier bodies and other specialized mobile structures in the Nordic market, with a workforce of over 300 employees. Together, its four subsidiaries – Specialkarosser AB in Ätran, Lagab AB in Laholm, Grothkaross AB in Mönsterås, and SKAB Norge AS – generate approximately $72 million in revenue with strong profitability. Since its inception in 1967, SKAB-Gruppen has built strong brands in Specialkarosser, Lagab, and Groth, with long-standing and trusted customer relationships. The group’s headquarters are located in Ätran, Sweden.
“The merger with Pamica represents a further opportunity for a continued positive future. Finding a solution for the future that is good for our staff has been a priority. We are a strong team at SKAB-Gruppen, and the fact that Pamica is locally rooted with a decentralized corporate governance has also been significant in our choice,” says SKAB-Gruppen’s CEO Tomas Korenado.
The Halmstad-based Pamica Group acquires small and medium-sized companies, develops them with entrepreneurs, and makes them sustainably successful, thereby creating value and prosperity. Pamica has an indefinite ownership horizon with high growth ambitions – through organic growth, additional acquisitions, and by increasing the number of platform companies.
“We are very pleased that CEO Tomas Korenado, along with the remaining former shareholders, chose Pamica,“ added Jan-Olof Svensson, CEO of Pamica Group.
”With a proven ability to successfully deliver high-quality products to an extensive customer base, SKAB-Gruppen has built a solid foundation and is well positioned to take advantage of favorable market dynamics in the coming years,” noted Tomas Lind, Director at Livingstone Stockholm.
”When the decision was made for an ownership change, we chose Livingstone as our advisor as they immediately gave the impression of really understanding what was important to us. They quickly earned our trust, and they have driven this process with great patience, diligence, and tremendous commitment. We have received well-considered advice throughout the process where many decisions have been made. We are very satisfied with the team’s efforts and can highly recommend Livingstone,” says Tomas Korenado, CEO and co-owner of SKAB-Gruppen.
