Livingstone advised vitronet GmbH, a portfolio company of the Expansion Capital Funds advised by the Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG ECF), on its acquisition of Horizontale Bohr- und Presstechnik Clemens Reuschenbach (hereinafter “CR Clemens Reuschenbach”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CR Clemens Reuschenbach is an owner-managed company based in Rhineland-Palatinate, offering civil engineering, static burst lining, and directional and horizontal drilling methods with a specialized equipment pool. The company has established itself as a reliable partner for the contraction of network infrastructure in the telecommunication industry and other media. Clients include commercial investors, public services, municipalities, and network operators.

vitronet group operates its businesses from its headquarter in Essen and six other locations in Germany as a general contractor for nationwide fiber optic and copper infrastructure projects. As a partner of energy suppliers, network providers, industrial companies, and public clients, vitronet offers comprehensive services, including network planning, civil engineering services, cable pulling, installation, and maintenance. Additionally, the company offers its clients also individualized dark fiber routes.

CR Clemens Reuschenbach is vitronet group’s fifth add-on acquisition since the entry of DBAG ECF. “In CR Clemens Reuschenbach, we have found a specialist supplier that complements our service portfolio. We look forward to continued successful collaboration with Mr. Reuschenbach and his entire team,” says Marc Lützenkirchen, CEO of the vitronet group. “The Livingstone team led by Christian Grandin once again advised us on this acquisition, and had a decisive influence on the success of the transaction.”

“I have successfully worked with vitronet on several different projects in the past, and am pleased to continue to do so as a part of the company group. Together we can expand the firm, tackle interesting projects, and offer a broader service offering to our clients,” adds Clemens Reuschenbach, former owner of CR Clemens Reuschenbach. He is going to continue managing the company under the umbrella of the vitronet group.

Christian Grandin, partner at Livingstone Düsseldorf, commented, ”This transaction marks the eighth transaction completed for vitronet group since 2009. This underlines not only our long-term relationship with vitronet but also highlights our outstanding expertise in the area of telecommunication/broadband expansion in Germany.”
