Livingstone\u2019s Food & Agriculture team is pleased to announce that its client, Western Integrated Seed <\/a>(\u201cWIS\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d), has completed a strategic transaction with Wyffels Hybrids<\/a> (\u201cWyffels\u201d), one of the largest independent seed corn companies in the United States. Under the transaction, Wyffels has acquired real estate and certain production assets at WIS facilities in Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed; the transaction closed in August 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headquartered in Hooper, Nebraska, Western Integrated Seed is one of the largest family-owned, independent hybrid seed production companies in the nation. The Company provides a broad range of tailored seed production solutions and comprehensive value-added services, including field-level seed production, conditioning, treating, packaging, logistics and distribution, supporting leading seed companies across the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Importantly, WIS will continue operating as an independent seed production business, serving its customers and partners across the seed industry. Under long-term agreements with Wyffels, WIS will continue operating from key facilities acquired in the transaction, with additional production and transition arrangements supporting the long-term relationship between the companies. The transaction provides WIS with additional flexibility to invest in growth and diversification while establishing a long-term strategic relationship between two highly respected participants in the seed industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
