Livingstone acted as the financial advisor to Kurtz.&nbsp; Deal terms were undisclosed.<\/strong><\/p><p><em>\u201cLivingstone provided expert guidance and creative deal-making throughout this complex transaction,\u201d <\/em>commented <strong>Tom Vana, CEO of Kurtz<\/strong>. <em>\u201cFrom the outset, my family sought and ultimately secured a strategic partner that shared our traditions of excellent patient care, community service, and an unwavering commitment to Kurtz\u2019s dedicated employees.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p>Headquartered in New Lennox, Illinois and family-owned since 1977, Kurtz is a full-service provider of professional emergency response personnel and medical transportation services to the greater Chicago area and, increasingly, nationwide.<\/p><p><strong>Edward Van Horne, CEO and President of AMR<\/strong>, noted, <em>\u201cKurtz Ambulance has a great history of service in the Chicago community and will be a great addition for us as we strengthen our commitment to provide safe, reliable medical transportation and new offerings to the communities we serve.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p>Kurtz Ambulance and Guardian Critical Care, via a fleet of over 100 ambulances, provide \u201c911\u201d emergency response and non-emergent transport services. Kurtz Paramedic Services and Kurtz Industrial Fire Service provide emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and firefighters to municipal fire departments, fire protection districts, and large industrial facilities, including some of the world\u2019s largest automotive manufacturing plants and chemical refineries.<\/p><p><em>\u201cThrough the Kurtz acquisition, AMR enters the attractive
