The D\u00fcsseldorf sector team Industrials<\/a> acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of Ing. Hubert Maldaner GmbH (Maldaner<\/a>) in the sale of the majority of its assets to the UK-based Norman Hay Group<\/a>. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ing. Hubert Maldaner GmbH<\/a>, headquartered in Langenfeld, Germany close to D\u00fcsseldorf, is a pioneer in the process for the sealing and impregnating of porous metal components (together with the company Internationale Metall IMPr\u00e4gnier GmbH (IMP)). With several job shops, the Company is one of the leading providers of impregnation services in Germany. In addition, Maldaner<\/a> also distributes IMP\u2019s impregnation sealants both domestically and internationally, and designs and manufactures impregnation process plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norman Hay<\/a>, headquartered in Coventry, UK, is a globally recognized leader in the manufacture of specialty industrial chemicals, sealants, surface coatings and process plants. Norman Hay<\/a> operates in three main business areas: surface coatings with Surface Technology and SIFCO ASC; impregnation sealants equipment and services with Ultraseal International, which also encompasses the Sterr & Eder Group from Landshut, Germany and process plant and equipment with NHE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norman Hay<\/a> has acquired, within the scope of an asset deal, the majority of Maldaner\u2019s<\/a> assets, including its job shops in Langenfeld, Leipzig and Unterensingen, as well as all brands and customer relationships belonging to the Company. The closure of its sites in Saarbruecken and Unna had already been decided by the shareholders before the transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In tandem with the sale of the majority of assets of Ing. Hubert Maldaner GmbH<\/a>, Livingstone also advised the shareholders of Internationale Metall IMPr\u00e4gnier GmbH on the sale to Norman Hay<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
