Livingstone’s Media & Technology sector has advised KGP Logistics – one of the US’s largest distributors and integrated service providers to the telecoms industry – on the acquisition of TriNet Communications, Inc.

KGP is one of the US’s largest single-source suppliers of logistics and supply chain services, wireless, and wireline communications equipment. It provides a uniquely comprehensive range of products and services to the telecoms market. TriNet is a leading distribution and integrated logistics company serving the telecoms, data, and cable television industries.

The company maintains a large, diverse product portfolio designed to provide customers a one-stop resource for all project needs.

“We are energised by what this acquisition means for our customers, supplier partners and employees,” said Kathleen Putrah, KGP Chairman and CEO. “This acquisition provides us the opportunity to increase our scale, while further diversifying and extending our market coverage.”

TriNet will be integrated with KGP’s existing operations and leverage KGP’s national distribution network to optimise all facets of the supply chain to provide customers with products and services at the lowest total cost of ownership.

“This acquisition strengthens KGP’s existing customer and supplier relationships, while also providing strategic entry into the cable television market,” commented Livingstone Chicago’s Managing Director Andy Isgrig.

Trevor Putrah, KGP President added: “Livingstone’s guidance and deal expertise across three acquisitions since 2009 has transformed our business capability and enhanced the value KGP delivers to the industry.”

Ryan Buckley, Livingstone Chicago’s Vice President commented: “KGP’s recent acquisitive history demonstrates its reputation as a preferred acquirer in the industry and positions the Company to continue its consolidation strategy.”

Livingstone’s Chicago team previously advised KGP on the acquisitions of Embarq Logistics from Embarq Corporation (now known as CenturyLink) in 2009 and the professional services business of TE Connectivity in early 2012.

This is the fourth deal that the Livingstone team have closed within the Electronics sector in 2012.
