Karl is a Partner and co-head of Livingstone\u2019s Industrial practice. He joined Livingstone at its inception in 2007 supporting the firm\u2019s foundational growth in the US and Europe.<\/p>
During his 20+ year career, Karl has advised and transacted with multi-national publicly traded corporations, US and European private equity firms, privately held family-owned and entrepreneur-led businesses, direct, mezzanine, and commercial lenders, and family office investors. Karl has closed 50+ transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A, debt and equity capital raises, and financial restructurings.<\/p>
As co-head of Livingstone\u2019s Industrial M&A team, Karl\u2019s practice focuses on industrial technology and advanced manufacturing companies with specific sector expertise in aerospace and defense, medical devices, data centers, electrical equipment, controls, connectors and enclosures, emergency and backup power equipment, specialty vehicles and capital equipment, precision machining, and commercial and infrastructure services.<\/p>
Karl is a member of Livingstone\u2019s International Holdings LTD board and is responsible for managing the firm\u2019s global growth, capital investment, and collaboration initiatives.<\/p>
Prior to Livingstone, Karl was a Vice President in Mesirow Financial\u2019s Corporate Restructuring Group and a Senior Associate in KPMG\u2019s Corporate Recovery practice. Karl is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor and a regular speaker on M&A panels.<\/p>
Karl is originally from Detroit and lives with his wife and three children in Western Springs, IL. In his spare time, Karl is a full-time baseball and football coach on the weekends.<\/p>
