Livingstone Düsseldorf’s Industrial Sector team have advised the shareholders of industrial controls group acam-messelectronic GmbH on the sale of the business to listed Austrian-based ams AG.

acam is leading developer and manufacturer of industrial controls for sensor solutions based on Time-to-Digital Converters with applications in automotive test systems, medical technology, consumer electronics, and industrials. The shareholders appointed Livingstone to approach potential strategic acquirers with exiting activities in high-performance sensors, which would be able to provide the resources to support acam’s future growth. The acquirer, ams, is a leading provider of high performance sensor solutions and analogue ICs. With its global distribution network and the opportunity to apply acam’s in a wider range of current and future products, ams offers a compelling strategic fit.
