Mona Sue began her career as an investment manager at IMM Financial Group before moving into investment banking at UBS and Credit Suisse. Working across New York, Hong Kong, and Seoul, she advised clients on M&A and capital-markets transactions, with a particular focus on the consumer, retail, and healthcare sectors.
She subsequently joined Shinsegae Group, a leading retail conglomerate in Korea, where she held senior leadership roles in corporate strategy, business development and investments. Her positions included serving in the Executive Office of Shinsegae Department Store and as Senior Vice President of Strategy at Shinsegae International. She also served on the boards of Starbucks Coffee Korea and Moncler Shinsegae.
Mona later founded Monas Lab, through which she has advised companies on M&A, market entry, and strategic growth opportunities in Korea. She has particular expertise in consumer and retail, beauty and personal care, luxury goods, and other branded businesses. She also served as a member of the Presidential Committee for National Cohesion.
