Livingstone acted as the exclusive advisor to Recycla, top player in the industrial waste management industry, in its sale to Herambiente (Hera Group). This transaction will confirm Herambiente’s position as a key operator in the sector, by extending its scope of operations in northern Italy and expanding its across-the-board waste treatment solutions to new customers.
Recycla, based in Maniago (Pordenone), operates within the integrated cycle of solid and liquid industrial waste management, handling over 40,000 tons annually. The company provides collection, storage, and disposal services across three plants located in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, and Emilia Romagna. Recycla is renowned for its innovative expertise in the production of SRF (solid recovered fuel) from waste, generating a turnover of approximately € 25m with an operating margin of around 30%.
Hera Group is listed in the Star segment of the Italian Stock Exchange and, through its subsidiary Herambiente, is the leading Italian operator in the treatment and recovery of waste.
The transaction aligns with Herambiente’s growth plan in the industrial waste treatment sector and its commitment to the circular economy. For Recycla, integration into a market-leading group has accelerated its development plan by leveraging commercial synergies and enhancing its level of managerialization.
