Competella has been acquired by Enghouse Systems
Livingstone has advised the owners of Competella AB (“Competella”) on the sale to Enghouse Systems, a Canadian publicly traded company that provides enterprise software solutions. Livingstone acted as the financial advisor to Competella and led a structured sales process – leveraging the team’s transaction experience in the sector.
Competella is a provider of communication solutions built on Microsoft Teams. The Competella Communication Suite includes solutions for contact centers and attendants as well as complementary Office User add-ons. Founded in 2009, Competella has established a strong position in a growing market and currently has more than 700 customers in the public and private sectors, primarily in Scandinavia and Switzerland.
Enghouse Systems acquires 100% of the shares in Competella, which includes the Swedish parent company and the subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway and Pakistan. Through the acquisition, Enghouse Systems strengthens its organization in the Nordics and expands its portfolio of customers, system integrators and partners.
“Competella’s software solutions are easy to deploy and are offered as both SaaS and On-Premise, making it an attractive option for the customer. This has enabled Competella to build a strong client portfolio and benefit from a high degree of recurring revenues, which has been essential in successfully completing this transaction”, commented Marcus Åström, Director at Livingstone.
“The collaboration with Livingstone has worked very well, where we have received professional support and guidance during the entire sales process and have always felt great confidence in the Livingstone team”, said Ulf Blomkvist, CEO at Competella.
Enghouse Systems is a global company providing enterprise software solutions focusing on contact centers, video communications, healthcare, telecommunications, public safety, and the transit market. The company is organized around two business segments: the Interactive Management Group and the Asset Management Group.
The Media & Technology transaction follows the sale of Eurotroll to Dubbing Brothers, the sale of Swedwise to Storskogen and the sale of Adtoox to Peach.
Wistrand Advokatbyrå acted as legal advisor to Competella during the sales process.
