Livingstone has advised IBS Scaffolding on a sale to Xervon. The transaction results from a structured sales process in which Livingstone has identified buyers who offer the right conditions for IBS’ continued expansion. Xervon acquires 100% of shares in IBS.
A family company, IBS was founded in 1978, growing to ~90 employees with a turnover of approximately SEK 125 million (14m USD). The Company has locations in Oskarshamn, Gothenburg, Norrköping, Linköping, Kalmar, Mönsterås and Ringhals. The company is authorized by the industry organization STIB and certified for quality and environmental safety.
Xervon is one of Sweden’s leading suppliers of scaffolding and weather protection. The Swedish operation had a turnover of SEK 355 million (42m USD) last year. Today, Xervon has ~180 permanent fitters who, together with as many subcontractors, staff construction sites for new and renovations of residential buildings, hospitals, infrastructure projects, paper mills, nuclear power plants, and thermal power plants and industries. Xervon is part of the German industrial group Remondis.
“During the ongoing consolidation taking place in the Swedish market for scaffolding, IBS and Xervon will together create a powerful market player. Furthermore, there are now the conditions to lead the development regarding technology and safety – something that customers are increasingly demanding,” stated Henrik Lilliehöök, Associate at Livingstone.
