Livingstone advises Mellby Gård on the sale of Hedson Technologies
Livingstone has acted as advisor to Mellby Gård in the sale of Hedson Technologies International AB (“Hedson Technologies”) to Storskogen. Based on the company’s market-leading position in high-quality systems for curing, lifting and cleaning, Livingstone has positioned the investment opportunity and driven a structured sales process.
Hedson Technologies is headquartered in Arlöv, Sweden and today consists of the brands IRT, Drester, Herkules and Trisk. The group was founded in 1999 and has since established a market-leading position as a supplier of high-quality systems for curing, lifting and cleaning to car repair shops and industrial companies all over the world. Hedson Technologies reported sales of SEK 256 million and EBITA of SEK 35 million for the financial year 2021.
The transaction means that Storskogen acquires all shares in Hedson Technologies from Mellby Gård. After the transaction, the company will become part of Storskogen’s Industry business area and the current management team will remain at their positions even after the transaction.
“With support from Mellby Gård and the Board of Directors, we have implemented a product-centric strategy to achieve profitable organic growth. We are very much looking forward to now becoming part of Storskogen and to have their support through the board to continue on the strategic plan we have set, says Lennart Eriksson, CEO of Hedson Technologies.
“Hedson Technologies is an innovative company with exciting products that focus on efficiency, work environment and safety, which are interesting areas to invest in. We are grateful that we have been entrusted with helping the sellers in the transaction and see great opportunities for the company to continue to deliver on the established strategic plan with Storskogen as the new owner, says Daniel Ohlsson, Managing Partner at Livingstone.
Storskogen is a listed company that acquires and develops well-managed and profitable small and medium-sized companies in the business areas Industry, Trade and Services in the Nordic region, DACH and the UK. As of December 31, 2021, Storskogen consisted of 105 business units with a total of approximately 9,000 employees and annual sales of over SEK 23 billion.
Livingstone’s team thus completes another transaction in the industrial sector, following, among other things, the sale of ProvideU to Novedo and the sale of Beneli to Volati.
Livingstone was the exclusive financial advisor and Mannheimer Swartling acted as legal advisor to Mellby Gård in connection with the sale process.
