New partners, top talents and additional offices in Hamburg and Amsterdam
For Livingstone, the year 2022 had its start with the opening of the new location in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, also known as “the gateway to the world”. The new offices in the Kallmorgentower now serve as a base for the team around Dr. Roland Schulz in serving our clients out of Northern Germany. Transactions in renewable energies and logistics, along with the sectors of industry, services, and consumer goods, are the focus for this location.
How the business environment for transactions is developing in times of the by now receding Covid-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine and rising commodity prices was summarized by Dr. Roland Schulz in the article „M&A-Markt – Vom Boom zum Downturn?“ for our cooperation partner “Die Unternehmervertrauten” in September.
With the launch of the Amsterdam office in June, Livingstone followed up on its international growth. Managing Partner Niels Claeren now advises our clients from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg with a local and well-connected team of five.
The news article from June on our website contains the background information on the founding of the new location and the motivation of Niels Claeren and his team to join Livingstone. Christian Grandin, Managing Partner at Livingstone in Germany, and Stephen Miles, Managing Partner at Livingstone in the United States, also emphasize the strategic importance of expanding our service offering in the region.
Alongside the two new locations, the existing offices are also happy about both our many new colleagues as well as the growing of the circle of partners: With 23 years of experience in the financial sector, Eleuterio Abad has joined Livingstone as a Partner in Spain this February, supporting Livingstone in the industrial and consumer goods sectors. Our long-time associate in Germany Philip Dorsemagen was appointed Associate Partner in August. He will continue to lend his extensive experience to cross-border transactions and sell-side advice to mid-sized companies in the context of succession solutions in the industrial and healthcare sectors, among others. Since September, Luca Pignato has also joined there as a partner. With more than 20 years of professional experience in the M&A sector, his special focus is on the food and beverage industry.
With around 100 professionals at our offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Beijing, Stockholm and Valencia, Livingstone is well positioned to find tailor-made solutions for our clients and, thanks to our well-established international team, to provide the highest level of M&A and financing advice to global medium-sized businesses, corporate groups, and financial investors. We also aim to continue to grow in 2023. Should you be looking for a new challenge, consider becoming part of our team!
