Livingstone’s Business Services team has advised the owner of MJ Contractor on its sale to Storskogen. Livingstone led a structured process in which the team’s experience and transaction expertise were key to a successful outcome.

The transaction means that Storskogen acquires a majority stake in MJ Contractor. The previous owner, Mikael Johansson, will remain in the company as minority shareholder and CEO after the transaction.
MJ Contractor is a construction company operating in the Stockholm region. The company was founded in 1993 by Mikael Johansson, who described recent business development as positive and sees great potential for continued growth with Storskogen as a long-term owner.
Storskogen is a privately owned corporate group that acquires and develops well-managed, profitable companies with a leading market position. The group is divided into three business areas and consists of around 50 business units with more than 3,200 employees, over two-thirds of whom are based outside metropolitan areas. The group’s total turnover amounts to approximately SEK 10 billion.

With this transaction, the Livingstone team has completed yet another Business Services deal, following the sale of NDS to Storskogen, the sale of San Sac Group to Sulo, and the sale of Cliniclands to Henry Schein.
Livingstone acted as exclusive financial advisor, while Kanter provided legal counsel to MJ Contractor during the sales process.
