Maximilian Bergold is Associate Partner at Livingstone in Frankfurt, advising entrepreneurs, family shareholders, and strategic and financial investors on complex M&A transactions across the Technology & Business Services sectors – with more than 13 years of experience and particular expertise in cyber security, IT and tech-enabled services, software, and industrial electronics.
His work spans both sell-side and buy-side mandates: company sales, acquisitions, divestitures and capital raisings, including public takeovers and defense mandates. He advises strategic and financial investors as well as owner-led and upper mid-sized companies, where transactions are frequently succession-driven.
Prior experience: Before joining Livingstone in March 2025, Maximilian began his career in the Investment Banking / M&A division of the German private bank Berenberg and gained further M&A experience at EY, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and Fortlane Partners.
Internationally experienced: Maximilian regularly executes cross-border transactions with strategic and financial investors, who are frequently based in North America and Asia as well as across Europe. He draws on an established network of buyers, PE investors and M&A intermediaries in the DACH region and internationally.
