Livingstone acted as financial advisor to the founding family of Ditta Colombo Biagio S.r.l. (“Ditta Colombo”), a company focused on the collection and transport of solid municipal waste, particularly active in the provinces of Monza-Brianza, Milan and Lodi (Lombardy, Northern Italy), in the sale to Enrico Bassanetti, an entrepreneur with consolidated expertise in the waste management industry and shareholder of Bassanetti S.r.l. The latter is active in household waste collection services with a well-established presence in the Lodi area, as well as in the provision of public sanitation services including sewer cleaning, disinfection, pest control, and rodent control.

The transaction, which involves the acquisition of 100% of Ditta Colombo by Enrico Bassanetti, enables the entrepreneur to expand into new strategic territories, with significant expected synergies both operationally and commercially.

“We are pleased to have found in Bassanetti the ideal partner to carry forward Ditta Colombo’s growth path, marking a new chapter to this success story built on the commitment and dedication of Giorgio and Biagio Colombo, while ensuring full continuity in the company’s management,” stated the Colombo family.

I am proud to announce the acquisition of Ditta Colombo Biagio. This milestone is a strategic step in my personal growth within the environmental services sector. I thank my family for their support in this new venture, which complements the path they have already laid out. Entering the market with such a well-established and recognized company excites me and will give me the opportunity to leverage the expertise I have gained within the family business.” said Enrico Bassanetti.

“This transaction has further strengthened our leadership and expertise in the waste management sector, bringing our track record to four completed deals in recent years both in the Italian market and cross-border. The growing importance of the circular economy in the global economic and social landscape has made the waste management sector increasingly dynamic and attractive, with ongoing consolidation driven by both industrial players and financial investors,” said Luca Maccagnani Castelli, Managing Partner at Livingstone.
