Finzer Roller Has Been Sold to American Roller Company

Leading aftermarket roller solutions provider joins American Roller Company

Livingstone’s Industrial team is pleased to announce that Finzer Roller Inc. (“Finzer” or the “Company”) has been sold to American Roller Company (“American Roller” or “ARC”). Livingstone acted as exclusive financial advisor to Finzer. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, Finzer is a leading U.S. provider of aftermarket rubber roller solutions and technical maintenance, repair and overhaul services. The Company provides rubber, polyurethane and silicone roll coverings, new roll fabrication, machining, precision grinding and repair services through 12 production facilities across the United States.

“Our family is extremely proud of what Finzer and its employees have built over nearly six decades,” said John Finzer, former CEO and shareholder of Finzer Roller. “Finding the right home for the business, employees and customers was very important to us. We believe American Roller is the right home for Finzer’s next chapter, and Livingstone provided excellent transaction guidance and execution expertise throughout the process.”

Founded in 1938 and headquartered in Union Grove, Wisconsin, American Roller Company is a leading provider of aftermarket surface treatment services for industrial rollers, offering a full suite of mission-critical services used in high-frequency web processing applications, including roller coverings, coatings, and core replacement. ARC serves a variety of end markets, such as packaging, film/label, metals, tissue, and printing, and it has grown to be a leading industrial roller service provider through superior service, technical expertise, and strategic acquisitions.

In July 2026, American Roller merged with Precision Roll Solutions (“PRS”), forming North America’s most complete precision roll manufacturing platform. Finzer adds a national aftermarket footprint and complementary rubber, polyurethane and silicone roller capabilities.

“We are excited about Finzer’s future as part of American Roller,” said Clay Klepper, President of Finzer Roller, who will continue as a leader for the business. “American Roller provides broader capabilities and resources while allowing Finzer to maintain the service and responsiveness our customers expect.”

“The Finzer family built a coveted industrial rubber roller solutions platform, and we are proud to have advised the Company on the transaction,” said Karl Freimuth, Partner at Livingstone. “The Finzer transaction represents Livingstone’s eighth transaction in the web handling sector and the 50th transaction closed by Livingstone’s global Industrial team since 2024.”

“The combination of Finzer, American Roller and PRS creates meaningful scale in a highly fragmented industrial roller market,” added David Modiano, Managing Director at Livingstone. “Together, the businesses combine broad technical capabilities with national service coverage, creating a differentiated platform in the market.”

McDonald Hopkins LLC served as legal counsel, and Miller Cooper & Co., Ltd. provided transaction related accounting services to Finzer in connection with the transaction.
